Hedges give the garden structure and provide a leafy backdrop to the foreground garden planting.
It is important to look after the hedges in a garden and this centres around the pruning regime. Hedges that are rarely pruned will present woody after pruning with gaps in the foliage. Beyond this, the leading face on a neglected hedge will start to waver and the precision is lost. In contrast hedges that are pruned each season will be covered in fine leaves and will present very square. Our fully qualified team can trim hedge faces including front , top , rear , and/or sides each season to present square hedges for formal gardens. If the pruning is reduced to twice a year the hedges will present more relaxed, and this might suit a more informal garden.
We are equipped with mobile scaffolds, pole saws, chainsaws, hedgers, and a complete range of hand tools, so that we can get across hedge pruning up to 6 metres high. For larger hedges we have an alliance with several reputable arborists that can take care of hedges above 6 metres high.
