Origami is an art installation conceived for the Melbourne garden design festival 2014, within a garden that we created in Brighton. Origami was inspired by the ancient art of origami, blending art and geometry. The installation serves as a reminder of a child’s ability to create a vast imaginary world from merely bending a sheet of paper.

The link between origami, mathematics and geometry is well known. At the same time this form of Japanese art is helpful to improve the sense of proportions and creativity. Furthermore, the installation sits within a beautiful garden that was created according to ecological principles including water recycling.

Beware, large origami animals will magically appear within this garden!
